Halinea's INVESTIGATION NOTEBOOK
Halinea, Mossa her grandmother and Caro her childhood friend, live in a seaside town in the south of France, in a housing estate that surrounds a swimming pool. Jacques the policeman comes to visit them regularly.
Our heroine has always wanted to follow the same path as her grandmother and be a private investigator.
From the third, she has the opportunity: one Wednesday afternoon, while playing ball with her classmates (Caro and Kiero the gypsy, her dear friend), a brooch with ruby eyes disappears at the former soldier opposite.
Who are we accusing? The gypsy of course, the prejudices are there! Her friend can't stand it. Against the advice of her grandmother and the policeman Jacques, she takes great risks and leads the investigation with a bang. Then, thinking of Einstein, her beloved physicist, she titled her first investigation: "It is easier to disintegrate an atom than a prejudice. "
This adventure only increases his taste for investigation. Reassured by the love Kiero has for her, the warnings followed by bans from those close to her do not deter her from her project. On the contrary. A valiant, sensitive, vibrant heart, full of tenderness and enthusiasm, she feels the soul of a vigilante.
Here it is in second.
The motivation to find those guilty of misdemeanors or felonies did not die off during the summer holidays. However, having realized her shortcomings and lacks, she understands that she must improve herself. To do this, she succeeded in obtaining an internship at the police station, in the service headed by Jacques, the new head of the brigade. She hopes to integrate a team of professionals.
But will she have the opportunity? Doesn't it feed on illusions?

Prologue
Wednesday Jan. 27, 2010, 8 p.m.
Stunned by the suddenness of the attack, I remain leaned against the cedar. I can not believe it. It all happened so fast. Why was I assaulted? Who is it ?
Stuck against the big trunk, curled up on myself, without moving, I look for the person who has come for me. She exits through the south gate of the campus park. I force myself to fix its characteristics: slender, agile, dressed in wide pants, a big jacket with a large hood passed over a cap, stiff, walking with a confident step.
I don't know anyone who looks like this. I have a hard time knowing if it's a man or a woman. Everything is blurry in my head. Dazed, I can not help but observe the south door ... "And if the or the misaligned came back ..." My breathing quickens, fear takes hold of me ... I inhale deeply. No ! this time, there is no question of being caught off guard ... I snort like a little dog to force myself to react. Having come to my senses, I walk quickly towards the north door where my bus station is located.
Careful, looking to the right, to the left, to the front, to the back, I cross the park at high speed.
This place is not sympathetic to me. By day, with all the bandages that surround the plants and the panels warning passers-by of the scientific tests made by the botanical section, it looks like a hospital for traumatized - arboreal people. At night, the tall trees make it dark and threatening. Remembering Little Red Riding Hood, I suddenly dreaded that an evil wolf would come out of the Chemin des Aiguilles. A shiver cuts my back. I accelerate again, finally arrive at the intersection of the two main aisles. Out of breath, I slowed down, hoping to meet, as usual, coming out of the theater rehearsal, the two students that I find nice. I do not see them. The roundabout seems deserted. I'm alone. Alone, in this large, barely lit park. Fear takes over me. I take a sprint while listening to the background noises.
The north door, the bus shelter. Finally ! A couple and two students are waiting.

A thriller to share with your teenagers! Suspense, humor, love, friendship, teenage stories, police enigma and above all an atypical heroine, outspoken, with strong ideas and terribly endearing who would be the teenage version of Captain Marleau played on tv by Corinne Masiero. Very nice, I hope this title will be the start of a long series!
Nicole Laratte (Artiss'anne)
Halinéa is on the trail of a crime, we murdered Stéphanie, where, who, how, why?
Pure police officer, but with so many underlying messages ...
Halinéa is a teenager, with other teenagers, acting with the complicity of somewhat original adults, it must be said.
They are all educated, they like or dislike school, they are in a professional integration internship (compulsory passage of their school curriculum) and reveal themselves and flourish, provided they are on the fringes of the school system. taken stricto sensu.
Note that the one who has the most phobia of school will be the one who will find, through extra-curricular research (library and internet), personal research carried out on his own initiative, the solution to the crime perpetrated against Stéphanie.
Halinea, the heroine of the story, detective in the making, internship in a police station, intuitive, obstinate, tenacious, daredevil, breakneck, the kid's room that sticks its nose everywhere, far from the original post for that of her internship and put in reserve in a forensic laboratory, Halinéa is the one who found Stéphanie's body, in a familiar path, and seeks - although she was not asked - who could have committed The crime.
With the help of her grandmother Mossa, a private detective, with whom she also lives, she seeks the truth ...
A beautiful hymn to intergenerational relationships, to relationships of the heart, a bond that any teenager would dream of having with his grandmother ...
Complicity is also the spring of this very effective group of teenagers. A beautiful hymn to friendship between friends with their emotional connections. And the effectiveness of group work.
Thanks to this band of friends and the complicity of Mossa and Jacques, the godfather and head of the brigade, justice will finally be able to intervene. But it was the teens who found it !!
As always in Isabel LAVAREC's novels, references to nature, plants, perfumes, paths in the woods, you can feel her in her environment ...
As always also, technical details (Isabel is a scientist) supported by research which gives an educational interest to the vicissitudes of the investigation. We discover methods that we rarely present in detective novels (example: multifactorial research to determine the date and time of death)
A good time to spend with Halinéa, with healthy and friendly teens, with adults, their original accomplices.
A story where conformism has little place.
A multi-generational story, which we read from start to finish without wanting to close the book, and which is even nicer if we know that the same band will reappear in other adventures, since notebooks of investigation, Halinéa has others to offer us ...

3rd HALINEA survey log
Halinea, is kidnapped by a serial killer!
Gagged, tied up, in the saloon of a small sailboat facing very heavy weather, what does she have the most
fear, of the serial killer who rapes and kills or of the evil dodge
maintained that can sink at any time? To think of something else, to give herself courage and above all to find a way to save herself by means of the cruel ritual assassin's faults, she forces herself to control her fear and relive the tragic story since her entry on the scene.
Fear, suspense, humor and philosophical reflections intersect and intertwine in this captivating thriller that takes you from the first to the last page.
Teens and young adults will love “Hallali!” , a new investigation led with beating heart by Halinea, their favorite heroine.
The author Isabel Lavarec also takes advantage of this detective novel to deal with relations between generations, a theme more topical than ever.
A thriller with a double reading that echoes the concerns of young people
Why not change the way teenagers look at them and help them see their elders differently?
The current Covid-19 pandemic has clearly shown how stigma and incomprehension can quickly return to gallop: we have pointed out young people who distance themselves from barrier gestures, we have talked about confining u
interest in bonding, learning to understand and talk to each other.
“ The various generations are not necessarily enemies! In “Hallali!”, I suggest other avenues for teens to think about to show them that we are all complementary. Help, mutual aid, joys and happiness can be shared. "
Isabel Levare c
Hallali! is therefore both a fascinating thriller, which gives young readers a taste for reading thanks to an investigation full of adventures, but also an invitation to open up to others
...
The 3rd part of Halinea's investigation notebooks
In Hallali !, teens and young adults have the pleasure of finding all the elements that make the success of this series:
recurring characters: the heroine Halinea who investigates to confuse the serial killer, grandmother Mossa, Jacques the policeman and Caro the childhood friend;
the impossible love between Halinea and Kiero the gypsy: will it finally be able to express itself?
a book written in the first person, like a journal, for a real immersion in the investigation;
humorous projections which give relief to the novel.
In each episode, via thrillers with multiple twists, all the themes that closely affect adolescents are addressed: ostracism and racism (notebook 1), school phobia (notebook 2), and intergenerational conflict in this third installment. .

Thriller for teens: Hallali! Halinéa's survey book [Editions Ex Aequo]
In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
Today, I present to you a thriller for teenagers which pleasantly surprised me and which met some of my expectations.
I had read the summary some time ago. Suddenly, my mind got a little mixed up when I received the title. I thought the story centered on the teenager's dilemma between: escaping from a boat on the high seas or confronting the serial killer who was holding her prisoner.
In reality, Halinéa, the teenager, is indeed stuck on the boat of a serial killer but she will spend her time rehashing what brought her here. But we can assume that this technique allows her to stay in control of her emotions given the situation in which she is, and also to understand and be able to react to the killer.
Afterwards, I quickly realized my mistake (I never reread the fourth before starting), we quickly get into the subject. This is a strong point, the "chapters" are quite short and the reading very dynamic.
Halinéa is a real teenager who goes headlong, who can be insolent at times, who lives her emotions intensely and yet she is also so endearing. Mossa, his grandmother is also. The latter takes care of her little daughter and involves her in her investigations (other volumes exist).
In it, it will be a question of serial murder, identity theft, torturer of hearts but friendship and love are also present.
I really liked the grandmother's relationship with the young girl and the way they look at each other.
My opinion :
a dynamic reading and a well-conducted investigation with characters with well-written personalities. I let myself be fooled by Halinea's character and almost to the end I did not see the serial killer arrive. A good read which I really liked. Finally an investigation with a lot of characters who are linked to each other, a very interesting scenario. A real puzzle with a beautiful ending.
I hadn't paid attention, it seems to me, but the publishing house is Vosgiennes;)
Thanks to Isabel for this discovery and for the dedication.

Third part of the Halinea - Hallali! Investigative Book!, By Isabel Lavarec puts her teenage heroine at odds with a serial killer. In this story where she plays big, she can count on the support of a competitive grandmother.
Commonly, it could start with “Halinea is going on a sailboat”. Because from the outset, the young girl finds herself a prisoner in the open sea and, through a game of skilful flashbacks, Isabel Lavarec makes her young reader relive the adventures which led the young girl on this skiff, poorly maintained and which could flow at any time. In fact, to think of something else, to give herself courage and above all to find a way to save herself by means of the cruel ritual assassin's faults, Halinea forces herself to control her fear and relive the tragic story since her entry. on stage… The new novel by the author of the thriller embraces the meanders of her memory.
In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
Isabel Lavarec's trick is to have used the codes of the classic thriller for a teenage audience: murders there; murders there is with a certain sadism in the gesture; murders there are with suspects who are perhaps not the good ones… And in this imbroglio, Halinea tries to lead his boat while being wary of the people around her and of appearances, even if it means taking all the risks… As a bonus , Hallali! also wonders about the relations between generations through the tender relations, and sometimes tense, but never placed under the seal of incomprehension, between Halinea and her grandmother. Especially when she falls in love with a man whose behavior does not seem very clear. We then have the feeling that, for Halinea, playing on the tender card should no longer take place when we have reached a certain age. She even throws him at the end of his arguments: "The height! You are in love with it. You must not see him again! At your age, it's not serious! "
REPORT THIS AD
In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
However, and what can affect young readers, this young girl is endowed with a sacred courage and, even if she must face a killer "as abominable as Zucco", this diligent reader of Dangerous Liaisons is not the type to live on installment. She has the enthusiasm of her younger years.
In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
Evoking casually a form of racism - with the irruption of Halinea's gypsy friend - Kiéro (Te Quiero?) Who plays an important role in the last part of the novel - this well-done story also plays with codes of the key novel where mysticism leads the dance. With, at the turn of a page, a nominal sentence which sums up the whole intrigue: "In a half-sleep, I wandered." Everything was mixed up, murders, violence, chases in historic basements, David, theater, jogging, Kiéro, shadow that streaked in a hedge of flowers. "
In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
A new survey which is therefore not lacking in assets to attract a young readership.
